When registering be sure to schedule your choice of one (1) Keynote for each day that you are attending, and three (3) breakout sessionsfor a total of 5 hours of PD each day. This workshop will explore engaging hands-on math activities for elementary teachers. Leave with a sampling of lessons that develop algebraic thinking at the elementary level. These lessons provide a progression of tasks and ideas that help develop critical thinking skills, explore varied ways to represent mathematical relationships, and build arguments for mathematical ideas. We will also explore mathematical structures and relationships as they apply to the different tasks.
