When registering be sure to schedule your choice of one (1) Keynote for each day that you are attending, and three (3) breakout sessions for a total of 5 hours of PD each day. Coffee, water, morning snacks and lunch are included!!!

Wed. Session I - Deepening Our Understanding of Number Lines for Use in K-8 Classrooms

The number line is a common visual displayed in K-8 classrooms, but is it being used to its full potential? This presentation with examine the use of the number line as a tool for developing the number sense of students in grades K-8. We will engage in activities highlighting the power of the number line as a tool in K-8 classrooms and deepening our own understanding of how to construct and use number lines to represent quantities and model operations. Participants will explore how number lines can be used to develop number sense with whole numbers, rational numbers, and even irrational numbers!
